In the last two years, we have seen a remarkable improvement in Nollywood movies. It appears producers and directors have begun listening to their critics/fans and are now producing great movies.
What I find most commendable is the storytelling which has been greatly improved upon. In time past, a great number of Nollywood stories seemed hurried, thoughtless and unfortunately displayed a chunk of stupidity; thereby insulting the intelligence of the viewer.
However, what we have today are topical, carefully thought-out stories about stimulating events/occurrences in Nigeria. This new generation of storytellers, writers, directors and producers are paving the way for a greater and more prestigious movie industry.
This week, we celebrate the best four Nollywood movies at the moment in no particular order.
